During the recent lockdown, Pre-Prep students have been involved in a lunchtime STEM Club. Over the last few weeks, they have been participating in lots of different challenges!

They have learned how to make paper aeroplanes and paper boats, the latter then placed onto water to see how many coins the boats held before it sank.

They participated in a water illusion experiment. They were asked to draw two arrows pointing in different directions and some words. Then to place a cup of water in front and watch the direction of the arrows and writing change.

Next was the bubble experiment. The boys filled a plastic bottle three-quarters full with water then added washing up liquid. After, they were to tip the bottle upside down and pour the water into the sink quickly. The bottle was the left full of bubbles, which they turned upside down and placed in front of a window. They then watched in amazement as the bubble turned from transparent to rainbow colours!

Recently, they were challenged to create a maze for their marbles using Lego.
