The Year 12 Theatre Studies group straight after their exam performance of “Waiting For Godot”. A truly exceptional production of this challenging absurdity play. The performers delighted the audience with their clowning antics and the set design reminded us that they were never far from the void.
Using Buster Keaton, Charlie Chaplin and the Marx Brothers as inspiration, Year 12 have spent their rehearsal process exploring the techniques of clowning. What are the games to be found with hats, boots, turnips, a stool and a fish… ?! And with the amazing set that Siavash Minoukdeh has designed…It’s a bleak landscape but these characters have to ignore the void and pass the time as best they can.
