The PSHCEE Department provided a planned Drugs Education talk for Years 9 and 10, but with the added element of broadcasting the event via Habstube to an audience in school and at home. It was a credit to the ICT Support that we were able to give an audience of 350 or so young people to a live talk by Bob Tait of DRED UK.
Bob is an exceptionally experienced speaker, having served 28 years in the Royal Navy as both policeman and undercover intelligence officer in the field. He has worked in the most dangerous areas of the world and knows the drugs trafficking and supply chains. Bob’s work with young offenders and schools is much admired. He gave the pupils a hard-hitting and realistic understanding of the effects of drugs and substance abuse on lives and careers, supporting his talk with some excellent clips.
The School would like to thank Bob for giving his time to provide such an interesting and thought-provoking talk.
